Varsha Pandurang Nagargoje graduated from Pune University, India, with a Master's degree in Geography. Later on, she accomplished her Mater of Population Studies and Master of Philosophy from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), India. She worked her way up through various roles in large-scale projects like Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI), Swabhimaan Project, and PMMVY. She gained three and half years of research work experience. Her research areas are mainly population aging and gender development. At present, she is enrolled as a doctoral fellow at IIPS. Until now, she has published four papers in reputed journals.
