7th African Population Conference

The seventh African Population Conference, jointly hosted by the Government of South Africa and the Union for African Population Studies (UAPS), will focus on the theme: Demographic Dividend in Africa: Prospects, Opportunity and Challenges.

• Tuesday 1 December 10:00-11:30: Juan José Calvo, Vice President of ALAP (the Latin-American Population Association), will present ALAP and the next conference in Iguazu.

• Wednesday 2 December 15:00-16:00: Anastasia Gage, IUSSP President, will be at the booth.

• Thursday 3 December 10:00-11:00: Tom LeGrand, IUSSP Vice President, will be at the booth.

At other times, France Meslé, IUSSP Secretary General, and Mary Ellen Zuppan, IUSSP Executive Director take turns at the booth to present IUSSP activities and answer your questions.
