Professional Summary:

 

Swati Srivastava is a third year PhD student in “International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai India”. Her area of interest is public health and mortality. In her PhD, she is working on the topic “Spatial patterns and inequalities in childhood malnutrition and morbidity in India: an application of small area estimation”. Before joining PhD, she had been worked as a project officer during 2013-14, in a survey namely “District level household and facility survey” which covered all districts of 21 states and union territories of India. Earlier to this, she has completed her M.Phil in population studies during 2013-2014. Before joining M.Phil, she did two masters. First masters (M.Sc.) have been done in statistics during 2009-11 from MGKVP University, Varanasi, India. However, second master has been done in population sciences (MPS) during 2012-13 from IIPS, Mumbai, India.

o Travel Grant awarded by Welcome Trust to attend the 13th International conference of Urban Health (ICUH) San Francisco, USA, in 1-4 April 2016.



o Travel Grant awarded by IIPS to attend the 3rd International conference namely “Asian Population Association (APA)” Malaysia, in 27-31 July, 2015.

o Government of India and UGC NET Fellowship for pursuing PhD Course in International Institute for population Sciences from 2015 to 2019.
