Professional Summary:

I'm a Mathematical Modeler and Associate Research Scientist with extensive expertise in infectious disease modelling, spatial statistics, and epidemiology. Currently, I serve as an Associate Research Scientist at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) in Nairobi, Kenya. I hold a Ph.D. in Biomathematics from Strathmore University (Kenya), an MSc. in Mathematics from Stellenbosch University (South Africa), an MSc. in Mathematical Sciences from AIMS-South Africa, and a B.Sc. in Applied Statistics with Computing from the University of Eldoret (Kenya). Previously, I worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at APHRC. I have also served as a Senior Lecturer at Strathmore University, where I mentored graduate students and taught courses in mathematics and statistics. I have also held consultancy roles with organizations such as Washington State University-Global Health Program and Dalberg Research, specializing in data analytics, disease modelling, and decision-support tools. I have led and contributed to several projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, including modelling the spatial dynamics of Leishmaniasis, developing agent-based models for family planning policies, and analysing demographic transitions in urban slums. My work integrates data-driven insights with mathematical frameworks to inform evidence-based public health policies. With numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences, I'm dedicated to using mathematical…
