2 junior research associate positions for the ERC-funded research project POPCLIMA “Population Dynamics under Global Climate Change”, Department of Statistical Sciences, University of Bologna, Italy

The research project “Population Dynamics under Global Climate Change” (POPCLIMA) is seeking for TWO JUNIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE positions. The project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC), with Raya Muttarak as the principal investigator.

Each position lasts for 12-month (with the possibility to be renewed up to 36 months) at the Department of Statistical Sciences, University of Bologna, Italy.
The candidate is expected to have:
- a Master Degree or equivalent title in Demography, Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Data Science, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) with appropriate scientific and professional curriculum.
- Proven competence in statistics/econometrics; experience with relevant statistical packages e.g., R, STATA and/or Python.
- Experience in quantitative social sciences research, preferably in demographic analysis and modelling.
