Abstract

Title (Translated)
Male homosexuality in Kinshasa in the time of HIV/AIDS: From crisis of normalization to apparent normativity through multiple sexual histories
Abstract (Translated)
In Kinshasa, heterosexuality is experienced as the social norm. The effects of homophobia and heterosexism thus create homo-bisexuals, a "guilty" population adopting a strategy of dissimulation. Consequently, visible or hidden homosexuality and disguised heterosexuality lead to anal penetration without a condom, thus constituting one of the principal modes of transmission of HIV and STIs.
