Alberto Sanz-Gimeno is associate professor in the Human Ecology and Population Department (Political Sciences and Sociology School) at the University Complutense of Madrid. Their works are based in the study of population and demographic dynamics, with a special attention to the topics on health and childhood mortality from a historical perspective. Recently he has worked with a database on individuals and their families in the town of Aranjuez (Madrid) and has participated in the elaboration of the National Survey on Immigrants carried out by the National Institute of Statistic in Spain. Some of the results of their researches have been published in scientific reviews as Population and Development Review, Population Studies and Continuity and Change, among others.
