Professional Summary:

Géraldine Duthé is Senior Researcher at INED and co-head of its research team “Demography of the Global South”. Her research aims to shed light on the obstacles to the health transition in high-mortality countries. She focuses on the health challenges in West Africa, with a particular interest in health issues among adults, mental health, and disability. From 2016 to 2019, she was PI for the DEMOSTAF project funded by the European Union (grant agreement n°690984), involving 18 institutions collaborating on projects to promote demographic statistics in sub-Saharan Africa. Since mid-2020, she is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the bilingual journal Population.
