Professional Summary:

Peter Kisaakye is a Senior Lecturer at Makerere University, in the Department of Population Studies. He is currently a research fellow on the Baobab Research Programme Consortium, where he primarily provides technical support to the implementation of project activities. Peter has been at the helm of implementing the first-ever Violence Against Children and Youth Survey (VACS) in refugee settlements in Uganda, measuring Abortion Incidence and Quality of Post-Abortion Care in Refugee Settings (AICM) and addressing unintended pregnancy in refugee settings in Uganda.
Peter has authored 40 peer-reviewed papers, technical reports, and book chapters. He has presented his scientific work at major conferences including the Population Association of America (PAA), International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP), Union of African Population Studies (UAPS), and Symposium on Male Child and Adolescent Survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Peter holds a PhD in Demography from the University of Cape Town.
