Lara Bister is a post-doctoral research fellow at Bocconi University in Italy in the ERC project FRAILIFE (Child Disability & Family Life) and an affiliated researcher at the Max Planck-University of Helsinki Center for Social Inequalities in Population Health (MaxHel) in Finland. She has a background in Sociology and Demography and holds a Ph.D. in Demography from the Population Research Centre at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and the International Max Planck Research School for Population, Health and Data Science at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany. Her research focusses on health from a sociological and social demographic perspective, contextual stress, (intergenerational) family relationships and life course dynamics.
