Rahul is a PhD scholar at the Department of Social Statistics in The University of Manchester, UK. With a deep interest in migration research, his study focuses on statistical and computational methods of human mobility. He is significantly contributing to the domain of demography and migration studies with a specialisation in the estimation and forecasting of Indian migrants. From his perspective, migration is a game between expectations and satisfaction. It's a dynamic interplay between presumptions or anticipations at the place of origin and the sense of fulfilment or contentedness at the place of destination. 

Prior to joining the University, he worked at various national and international organisations and prominent institutes in India, in various roles and responsibilities, gaining on-the-ground experience in research and data analysis. He also participated in and presented at numerous national and international conferences on migration and health.
