From August 30 to September 2, 2023, the Fifth Conference of the European Society of Historical Demography will take place in Radboud University, Nijmegen, Netherlands. The scientific program can be consulted on https://eshd2023.eshd.eu/programme/

 

The main theme of the Conference is “The Challenge of Comparing”.

 

The keynote opening talk will be delivered by Johan Fourie, from Stellenbosch University, on Historical Demography of Uncharted People: Challenges and Opportunities. In the plenary sessions, we will have the pleasure of hearing Martin Dribe, Martin Kolk, Daniele Vignoli, Yuliya Hilevych, Francisco Beltrán Tapia, Theo Engelen, Alice Reid, Eric Schneider, Jörg-Peter Vögele, and Ingrid Van Dijk.
