China Population and Development Studies
A quarterly English academic journal focusing on China's population and development, China Population and Development Studies (CPDS)is hosted by the China Population and Development Research Center (CPDRC) and affiliated to National Health Commission of China. Instead of being a new magazine, China Population and Development Studies took shape by making innovative adjustments to the contents and form of China Population Today, which was founded in the 1980s. In 2018, CPDS and Springer Nature signed cooperative agreement. The main characteristics of CPDS: ▶ Provides an international platform for discussions of population, health and development issues. ▶ The most comprehensive and authoritative representative of the trend and achievement of Chinese population and development studies. ▶Promotes interdisciplinary perspective in understanding population phenomena.

Aims and Scope This journal provides an international platform for discussions on topics related to various population phenomena and development issues, complemented by a strong representation of the research trend and achievement in China and other Asian countries. The journal, hosted by the China Population and Development Research Center draws on the energetic and resourceful Chinese research community as well as in close contact with the Asian research community in the area, features the Asian perspective on the field of population studies. As a publication of China Population Association(CPA), this journal publishes original research papers including empirical studies, theoretical and methodological analysis, policy reviews, and survey reports in population and development related fields. Interdisciplinary perspectives are also encouraged to help improving understandings of demographic dynamics as well as refining research methods.
