Professional Summary:

Associate Professor of Demography at the Population Program, School of Social Sciences, Universidad de la República (UDELAR, Uruguay) and is a Guest Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR). Holds a PhD in Demography from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with a background in Sociology, and is a former student of the European Doctoral School in Demography.

Her research focuses on digital demography, international migration, migrant inclusion and exclusion, with a focus on labour incorporation and legal status trajectories. Currently co-leads the research group Human Mobility and Digital Demography at UDELAR and coordinates the Observatory of International Migration in Uruguay (OMIF). Recent work examines migrant regularization pathways across Latin America, life-course approaches to migration, and the use of digital trace data and social media audiences for demographic estimation. Is also a member of CAMINAR, a regional research network studying migration governance and regularization processes across Latin America.

Serves as Associate Editor of International Migration Review and is a member of the editorial boards of Comparative Migration Studies and Revista de Estudios Demográficos y Urbanos. Also serves as a member of the IUSSP Scientific Panel on Lifetime Migration and is a member of the Latin American Population Association.
