I am sociologist and demographer, graduated from the European Doctoral School in Demography and Autonomous University of Barcelona. I am research assistant professor at the University of the Republic (Uruguay) and adjunct assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology of Clemson University(USA). I have worked on the long-term determinants and forecasting of Latin American migration. More recently, I have started working on returnees and immigrants´economic integration in Latin American countries. I am also assessing the different mobility responses (internal migration, return, re-emigration) of Latin Americans residing in Spain to the recent economic recession, as well as analyzing the attitudes towards immigration among the native population of Latn American countries.
