IUSSP Webinar:

"Three Years and a Lifetime Later: Recommendations for Rights- and Justice-informed FP Measures"

Wednesday 30 September 2026

This webinar was organized by the IUSSP Panel on "Rethinking Family Planning Measurement with a Reproductive Justice and Rights Lens".

After an opening by Samukeliso Dube of FP2030, the IUSSP Panel - represented by Ilene Speizer, Elizabeth Sully, Fredrick Makumbi, Niranjan Saggurti and Madeleine Short Fabic - presented its recommendations, which are the result of a three years' long international consultative process. This presentation of the recommendations was followed by reflections from discussants, Evelyne Opondo from ICRW and Yohannes Wado from APHRC.

The Panel also announced the follow-up work that will be led by a new IUSSP Panel on "Measuring Contraceptive Agency: From Rights-Based Frameworks to Survey-Ready Indicators for the Final SDG Period and Beyond."
