The European Association for Population Studies (EAPS) wishes to highlight two of its upcoming events:
EAPS PhD Event - 20 May 2021 On 20 May 2021 the EAPS PhD Network is organizing an online event for PhD students (+1 year) in the field of population studies. This will not be a typical conference but a series of panel discussions and masterclasses. The event will kick off in the morning with the session “Meet the research community” where you can learn all about the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS) and Population Europe and how they can benefit your studies and career. After that there will be a panel discussion with editors from the European Journal of Population, Demographic Research and Advances in Life Course Research on how to get published. In the afternoon several senior scholars will give masterclasses for small groups of students.
EAPS Group on Health, Morbidity and Mortality Meeting - 20-22 September 2021 The EAPS Health, Morbidity and Mortality Working Group is planning a meeting in Prague from the 20-22 September 2021. This group calls for papers for the meeting “New Challenges: New Issues” at 20-22 September. The theme of “New Challenges” will cover new, and only partially solved issues, as well as the ongoing ones which now have to be solved under completely different conditions. The goal is to prepare a range of sessions covering challenges in current health, morbidity, and mortality research.
