Professional profile of tim.riffe

I am an Ikerbasque research fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the University of the Basque Country. I specialize in health and mortality, developing methods of direct and indirect measurement to better compare trends and levels of life expectancy and healthy life expectancy between populations. I also develop visualization methods for demographic data, open-source R packages that implement demographic methods, and have worked on database development projects, including the Human Mortality Database, and the more recent COVID Age Database (COVerAGE-DB).
