The Joint project with the UN Global Pulse Lab Jakarta (http://www.unglobalpulse.org/jakarta) is looking for a current PhD student for a paid research internship.
The intern will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia, for a 4-5 months period. The internship is not bound to any term schedule and, ideally, the internship would start early in 2017.
Indonesia is a great “test tube” for many Data for Development research projects as it has an enormous social media footprint. The topic of this project will be centered around using social media to study migration/mobility within Indonesia. The Pulse Lab Jakarta has access to a number of privileged data sources from both government and commercial entities than can be used for this project. The target outcome is atop-tier publication.
To apply, email your CV, including a publication list to Ingmar Weber ingmarweber (AT) acm (DOT) org
