2025 General Assembly
- Date: Thursday 13 November from 13:00 to 14:30 UTC (Save the date and time in your calendar)
- Location: Online
The General Assembly of IUSSP members used to be organized in person at the International Population Conference. However, in 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held online and separate from the IPC... and it actually attracted more members than at the conference. So the IUSSP Council decided to hold the General Assembly virtually from now on. This year, the General Assembly will be organized after the Council elections so it can serve to provide guidance to the newly elected Council on the priorities of the IUSSP membership.
The first part of the meeting will be devoted to a brief presentation of activities and finances over the past 4 years followed by an open discussion with the members. There will also be the opportunity to get to know the newly elected Council that will take office on 1 January 2026! The second half of the meeting will feature breakout rooms where members can exchange with the members of IUSSP Scientific Panels and representatives for other IUSSP actvities. The final agenda of the General Assembly will be shared one month before the meeting. (Student associates are welcome to join the General Assembly but should not take part in the votes.)
