Professional Summary:

Parfait Eloundou is Associate Professor of Development Sociology and Demography at Cornell University, and Associate Director of Cornell Population Center. He is the PI of the "Fertility and Schooling" study in Cameroon, a longitudinal study of a national sample of Cameroon households supported by the Spencer Foundation. He is  chairing the IUSSP Panel on Demographic Training in Francophone Africa, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Guttmacher Institute and the Population Reference Bureau. Past research has focused on schooling and fertility transitions in Africa and more recent work examines the demographic contributions to global inequality and the implications of contemporary demographic changes to socioeconomic development in sub-Saharan Africa.
