Ambrose Akinlo is an epidemiologist and demographer at the New Mexico Department of Health, where he works on the New Mexico Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey (NM-YRRS). His work centers on survey methodology, complex survey design and weighting, and population health surveillance, with research on sexual and reproductive health and maternal and child health in Nigeria and the United States. He taught demography and social statistics at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, from 2004 to 2017 and was promoted to Reader (Associate Professor) in 2018. He holds a PhD in Demography and Social Statistics from Obafemi Awolowo University and a DrPH in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences from UTHealth Houston.
