Dr. Saswata Ghosh is a Social Scientist and currently associated with the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata (IDSK) as an Associate Professor. He obtained his Ph.D. in Population Studies from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). He holds MSc in Mathematics from the Jadavpur University and Master in Population Studies (MPS) from the International Institute for Population Science (IIPS), Mumbai. He obtained Sir Ratan Tata Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the Asia Research Centre of London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) during 2014-15. He also received International Fellowship for Young Bio-Medical Scientists from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) during 2012-13. He served as a Visiting Fellow at the LSE and at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). He worked with Qatar Statistics Authority (QSA), Doha; Centre for Health Policy (CHP) (funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), ADRI, Patna; Population Council and Council for Social Development, New Delhi.
