RESEARCH AND ACCADEMIC EXPERIENCES: Giuseppe Gabrielli, Professor in Demography, joined the University of Naples Federico II (Italy) in 2014. He held a post-doc position in Demography at the University of Bari – IT (2009-10); he was guest professor in Demography at the University of Macerata - IT (2007-08) and at University of Pescara - IT (2004-05). He was research fellow in Demography at the University of Bari (2006-07). He held visiting positions and/or fellow roles at the Max Planck Institute of Demography (Rostock - D) and at Brown University (Providence - RI), during the years 2004-08.
TEACHING: He is lecturer of Applied Demography, of Economic Demography and of Demographic Methods and Models at the Department of Political Sciences, University of Naples "Federico II".
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: He held Ph.D. in Demography (2004) and a “Laurea” in Economics - specialization in Statistics - (1998) from University of Bari - IT. During the doctoral period, he attended the winter semester at International School of Demography (IMPRSD) in Rostock (2001-02).
He is author of 2 monographs, 30 scientific articles in peer-review journals, 20 chapters in monothematic volumes, 10 proceedings or acts of national and international conferences, 1 book co-editor. (please see my CV for a selection of pubblications
