Dr. Naresh Kumar is Professor & Chairperson at Centre for Diaspora Studies (Independent Centre), Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar. He is teaching and research of Migration & Diaspora of M.Phil./Ph.D. research scholars in CDS, Since 2011. He educated his B.A.(H) degree in Geography, University of Delhi. M.A., M.Phil. & Ph.D. degree in Geography & Population Studies from Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. His major research works involved around Migration (Internal/International), Indian Diaspora & Development, Issues of emigration/Immigration, Migration/Diaspora Governance. Social Demography/Population & Development/ Cultural Studies, Caste & Marginality, Refugees, Social Network & Transnationalism. He holds university academic positions/member in Academic Council (AC) in Central University of Gujarat, Chairperson/member of Board of Studies (BoS) Centre for Diaspora Studies , School of International Studies (SIS), Centre for Science Technology and Innovations Policies, CUG. He has visited abroad (South Africa, USA, U.K., Thailand, and South Korea).
