IUSSP at the 2017 PAA Annual Meeting

Chicago, United States, 27-29 April 2017 

The IUSSP organized two pre-conference workshops on 26 April and had an exhibit booth at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Population Association of America (PAA), which was held in Chicago (United States) 27-29 April.

• The IUSSP Scientific Panel on Big Data and Population Processes organized a Training Workshop on Social Media and Demographic Methods.

• The IUSSP Scientific Panel on Subjective Well-being and Demographic Events held a Workshop on Subjective Well-being and Demography - Integrating subjective well-being in the demographic research agenda. 
  

The IUSSP also organized a meeting with the regional population associations to prepare two sessions at the 2017 International Population Conference. 

Once again, the IUSSP also had a booth where Council members and staff took turns to answer members’ questions, recruit new members and provide information on IUSSP scientific and training activities and the forthcoming conference in Cape Town.
