Launch of the
2021 Sustainable Development Report

June 14, 2021 | 08:00 - 09:00am EDT
As the world begins its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, an emphasis must be placed on sustainable development. It is time to look for transformative pathways, collaboration amongst UN member-states, and to use the SDGs as a framework to "build forward better".

The annual Sustainable Development Report (SDR) tracks progress on the SDGs and analyzes key issues in sustainable development. It is written by a group of authors led by Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, President of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). The SDR synthesizes metrics and data to allow all 193 countries to view how they perform on each SDG. Published by Cambridge University Press, the report outlines the short-term impacts of COVID-19 on the SDGs and describes how the SDGs can frame the recovery. The 2021 Sustainable Development Report, which includes the SDG Index and Dashboards, will be released on June 14, 2021.
