Notas de Población

– A Latin American Journal on Population Studies, published by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)

Notas de Población is a biannual publication with more than 50 years of history, released in June and December each year and currently including submissions in either Spanish or English. It disseminates studies on the population of Latin American and Caribbean countries as well as contributions referring to other regions of the world and the Editorial Committee has currently sixteen leading experts in population studies (eight women and eight men). The publishing requirements align with the quality standards of indexing databases, such as Scopus and Web of Science and include editorial support from the ECLAC's Division of Publications and Documents.  

Notas de Población recently published its 120th issue, corresponding to June 2025. For the first time, the launch took place within the framework of a webinar discussing youth transitions in times of change. Issue 121 is scheduled for publication in December 2025. As part of the continuous publication flow now in place, at least three articles are expected to be published in advance. The first article is already online here (in Spanish - the second article will be in English).

Notas de Población calls for manuscripts on demography, population and development, and public policy for its 2026 editions.
