Camelia Tigau is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Research on North America, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), currently appointed as a visiting professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto. She is a regional vice-president of the Global Research Forum on Diasporas and Transnationalism (GRFDT, India). She has published extensively on skilled migration, scientific diplomacy, and Canadian studies. In 2022, she received the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Award for outstanding women scientists at UNAM.
