Professional Summary:

Kaushalendra Kumar is Assistant Professor of Public Health and Mortality Studies at the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, India. He is Ph.D. in Population Studies from IIPS. Dr. Kumar is a demographer and applied micro-economist by training with research interests in micro-econometric analysis of issues in economic development and health economics. His research work is focused to identify the determinants of health and human capital, and its effect on labour productivity and economic development in developing country. And, his research works are published in peer-reviewed high-impact journals such as The Lancet Global Health, Studies in Family Planning, Social Science and Medicine, Journal of the Economics of Ageing, Population, Maternal and Child Health Journal, PLOS ONE, Social Indicators Research, Economics Bulletin, and BMC Public Health. He is involved to train the graduate students in courses- Health Economics, Mortality, Morbidity, quantitative methods in applied research.
