Professional Summary:

Mexican demographer who has contributed to the analysis of fertility patterns, exploring generational changes based on socioeconomic origins and regional disparities in family formation. Her research has enriched demographic studies in Mexico by highlighting how demographic behaviors vary across the country.

Her studies on women's trajectories have provided information on how gender roles and social and economic pressures determine employment trends among Mexican women, as well as their health status and well-being perceptions. Her contributions have been considered in the design of social programs and public policies to address demographic challenges, such as adolescent fertility and the case for a national care system.

Since 2014 she has been working at the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) where she serves as a researcher.
