Dr. Niranjan Saggurti is a Senior Researcher at the Population Council, based in India. He provides strategic, managerial, and technical leadership to Council’s work in India and countries in Africa, filling important knowledge gaps for policymakers and program managers – generating evidence on what works, how and why in case of population, reproductive health and developmental programs. With over 25 years of experience in program- and policy-oriented research, his expertise covers an extensive range of topics, including sexual and reproductive health, HIV, gender-based violence, climate science, migration, and microfinance, along with their interconnected dynamics. As a distinguished author, Dr Saggurti has made significant contributions to the body of knowledge in these areas through numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, Dr Saggurti serves on several technical and program/policy review committees for a variety of organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, across national and international levels.
