Curriculum Vitae:

Professional Summary:

I am a demographer focused on reproductive health in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. Substantively, I am currently looking at adolescents including LGBTQI youth, contraceptive use and unmet need, abortion (knowledge, use, stigma, self-managed, conscientious objection by providers), and anti-SRHR activities in Africa delegitimizing SRHR. I have a focus on reproductive health in humanitarian crisis contexts as well as equitable partnerships, and am dedicated to open science including transparency and reproducibility practices.

I’ve been engaged with IUSSP since 2001. Having served on the IUSSP Council from 2021-2025 as the North American representative, I’ve learned about how IUSSP functions and at the Council and Secretariat level which makes me well-poised to be able to contribute meaningfully during another four terms with my historic knowledge as well as my clarity of where and how to work effectively within the structure of the organization. It would be an honor to serve.
